It is made of brown cloth with decorative crystal beads. The necklace part of the Scapular-Rosary measures 26 inches; the longer dangling part measures 5 1/4 inches. MARY'S PROMISE TO THOSE WHO WEAR THE SCAPULAR- Our Lady gave St. Simon a scapular for the Carmelites with the following promise, saying : Receive, My beloved son, this habit of thy order: this shall be to thee and to all Carmelites a privilege, that whosoever dies clothed in this shall never suffer eternal fire .... It shall be a sign of salvation, a protection in danger, and a pledge of peace.
Another important aspect of wearing the Scapular is the Sabbatine Privilege. This concerns a promise made by Our Lady to Pope John XXII. In a papal letter he issued, he recounted a vision that he had had. He stated that the Blessed Virgin had said to him in this vision, concerning those who wear the Brown Scapular: "I, the Mother of Grace, shall descend on the Saturday after their death and whomsoever I shall find in Purgatory, I shall free, so that I may lead them to the holy mountain of life everlasting."

108/807) CITRINE COLORED CRYSTAL ROSARY - The color of this rosary is absolutely lovely! The crystal beads a citrine yellow color and they have a lot of sparkle and vibrance. Each bead measures approx. 6mm. The necklace part measures 24 inches; the dangling part is 5 1/4 inches long. The Center Medal shows Catherine of Siena in front and the reverse has a flower. The crystal beads look better in person as they have a lot of life and sparkle. There is some irregularity in the size of the beads as they were handcut. Each bead measures approx 6mm; the necklace part measures 21 inches all around. The dangling part from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross is another 5 inches. 110/108) VINTAGE ROSARY MADE OF RARE BOHEMIAN ART GLASS or GIVRE CRYSTAL- This fine rosary is made of rare Bohemian art glass called givre crystal. Givre crystal is clear crystal with color patterns infused in them, in this case the beads have a black core. The effect is stunning. The beads are rectangular and mult-faceted all around; each bead measures 8mm. The necklace part of the rosary measures 28 inches; the dangling part from the Center medal to the tip of the Cross is 7 inches. The rosary weighs a hfety 54.9 grams. The Cross measures 1 1/2 by 2 1/3 inches; it is inscribed in the back, "I am a Catholic in case of an accident please notify a priest." The Cross and Center Medal are original to the piece and show slight wear. This is a lovely and rare vintage rosary. $199
